The Occasional Poetry Company - about Kym Veale

For the last nine years I have pioneered 'Kym Veale's Radio Years'. This is a programme of my own lyrics combined with music from the 30's, 40's and 50's. It is now recognised as a creative project which helps the elderly unlock positive memories in a life enhancing way.

I regularly visit organizations such as 'The Royal Air Force Association', 'Shaw health care' and many more nursing homes within the county of Sussex.

This has led to the establishing of 'The Occasional Poetry Company' (c).

My passion is to capture and revive the love, honour, respect and faithfulness that Jane Austen so clearly expresses within her writing.

I recited my first commission, a love poem at a wedding, dressed in traditional period costume.
